Kaneohe

Kaneohe Bay stretches from the Mokapu Peninsula, home of the U.S. Marine Corps, and is Mokoli’i Island or Chinamen’s Hat. The bay is the largest sheltered body of water in the Hawaiian Islands and is home to the largest saltwater sandbar in the world. It is known for fishing, kayaking, and boating. It is a lush island area on Oahu as it tends to get more rain than other areas.

It has an excellent balance of living made of locals and transplants. It is also part of the island’s Windward side and is home to the Windward Mall.
