MCB Hawaii

MCB Hawaii Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe, HI

According to a census of 2000, there were a little under 12,000 inhabitants of the base. The base hosted sailors and Marines, not to mention about their families. Other than that, there are also civilian employees dealing with various jobs and activities. The 2951 acres wide military base is placed between two of the most important O’ahu communities – Kāne’ohe and Kallua. Aside from the camp, the peninsula also hosts two major natural reservations. In other words, there was no better place to locate this camp than in a living paradise.

Housing

The housing system in MCB Hawaii is relatively limited. There is no place for expansion, therefore the authorities are stuck to what they have. There is enough room to host any temporarily deployed officers though. Therefore, a few extra families won’t make any difference. The system is based on a lot of paperwork and bureaucratic processes.
